what do you have to do to clean the egr valve on a 95.5?

Don't know. Since no one else answered, I'd suggest first searching Ryan's FAQ http://isuzufaq.ibctech.ca or searching http://google.ca
There's got to be lot's of info. The differences in models prevents me from answering this accurately. People do have the answers, you'll just have to look. Steve |

EGR valve
Here are some links(which I believe I got here), I have a 96 3.2
http://kpaske.shacknet.nu/public/EGR.htm http://www.icess.ucsb.edu/~greg/rodeo/egr.htm One thing make sure you clean the intake pipe thorouhly, not just the valve itself. I just cleaned the EGR and sprayed a few shots of intake cleaner down the return port to the injectors. Light came back a few days later. Did it again, cleaned the egr better, and used a can of injector/carb cleaner (Penzoil) down the intake port and a couple of shots down the exhaust return from the exhaust maniford with egr off the motor, so far all is well This was done with 124k on the motor, so I was long overdue. |
