Angry crap list. all the crap things to beware of

ok i thought i'd start a list of products which are quite frankly shite.

my first will be Michelin Power Sport tyres. standard on the 954 and the front tyre has developed a fault which see the tyre have good tread all the way around but at the leading edge on the left side of the pattern its gone bald. so bad that it's wavy. very bad wear pattern. it's causing a vibration. apparently its an inherent problem and the tyre is no longer available but still beware of left overs

feel free to add to the list

Suzuki uses the worst metal crap, in order to reduce cost and weight, they use worst quality aluminium alloy on their levers. Last time when I went down on a 1990 Yamaha FZR600 on the damn concrete going above 15 mph, I had no frame sliders, nothing to protect the frame or components. Yet still, the shift lever and pegs and such were intact and fine. Yesterday when I went down again about same rate, it was in middle of soft beach-like sand, there was a mound full of it. I had frame and swingarm sliders installed. Well the frame sliders took a little scratch, as did the windscreen and front left blinker. Clutch plate had no marks. But guess what, tucked underneath the bike, out of nowhere, the damn shift pedal broke off from the lever (where the rubber meets the joint). It was soft sand dammit, not even concrete. Damn piece of Suzuki crap! Their engine and other stuff are good, but their accessory components suck, probably made in China or Taiwan.

I rode in 1st gear for 10 mins heading home, close to redline was 45 mph. Had to stop to shift to 2nd, and it went up to 60 mph. Still slow and traffic behind me had to pass, truck drivers are the worse, the trailer's rear set of wheels almost ran me off the road.

Came back from the dealers, and Suzuki expects me to pay $75.00 just for the shifter pedal, for the same piece of crap! I'm looking for aftermarkets, Vortex wants $370.00 for the entire rear set. I just need the shifter.

Yeah, I got my eye on one auction, which will end in 1 week, so have to wait. But the great thing is I still got back to riding again. My Dad's a genius, he drilled a hole in the shift lever where the piece broke off. Took a small socket cap and attached them both with a bolt and nut. Works just as good as the pedal, great solution for the mean time.

I wouldn't worry about the K3 and K4 gixxers though, they're no more or less frail than other sportbikes.
