Talking In Progress '69 Charger Pro Street

I am doing this model for a friend. I plan to plum and wire the engine. I have already made some rotors and coil over shocks for it. It will be a semi-kitbash with the '70 Superbee Pro Street. The engine shown is not the one that will be going into the car. I was just building it for practice. Here are two progress pics. The first shows it mocked up with the tires. The second is how it stands as of now. The color is Dupli-Color "Nissan Cherry Red Pearl".
Any suggestions on the color for the roof? I am thinking the only black would look good.

Man, great colour... shame to see it has a vinyl top at all, but ya, I'd go with a semi-gloss black myself.

Re: In Progress '69 Charger Pro Street

What chasis are you planning on using or kit-bashing for the rear tubs? The only problem with the Charger is that its a long buddy and most pro-street chasis won't mate up correctly... I tried doing the same kit.

Overall looks good, the rooaf has to be textured vinyl black! Now lets see the engine!

Re: In Progress '69 Charger Pro Street

SLK-

I plan to use the '70 Superbee P.S. Chassis. It is very close to what I need. I think I can mod. it a little bit and it will work fine. The engine will be from the Superbee also. I am going to replace the tunnel ram with a blower. The only problem I am having is the interior. The one from the Superbee doesn't fit too well in the Charger. The stock Charger interior may work but I think it will take a lot of work. We will see... Thanks for the comments so far.

Hey, you can use a 66 Nova Pro street interior. It should fit (its a lto shorter). The Super Bee engine should look good in it.

Re: In Progress '69 Charger Pro Street

That is where I got the idea for the blower I am going to put on... Great job on it by the way. I am also working on that '67. I have about 6 projects going on at one time. I can't work on one thing for a long time. I need to switch off and do other things.

You know, the "Christine" 1958 Plymouth Fury Pro Mod kit by Revell has a chassis that fits perfectly underneath the Revell Charger body.

Guess how I know that.

But then my dad decided to just backhalf the kit chassis using the Super Bee Pro Street rearend.
