2.2CL Rear Suspension Question

i have a question about a particular suspension piece in the rear of my 97 2.2CL. the only way i can describe is that its a bar that comes from the top of the shock and goes over the wheel and is connected to the bottom of the wheel well. it is awfully close to the tire and would i run into any trouble if i were to lower my car. sorry for such vague details but im not familar with this part.

Dont worry about this. If you look its actually the arm from the top of the spindle assy. at the top above the tire is the upper ball and it connects to the upper control arm. I was wondering about this on a 94 accord wagon (same rear suspension) and it all works together. The tire will stay the same distance from that arm. The only thing to look at is if you put wheels on the car, only use the recomended offset. If its not enough the tire will rub against this.
