Re: help (Question)
If anyone could draw something just like they could see it in their heads, we would all be a trillion times better.
The only advice I can give is practice practice practice !

Well the first thing they teach you when you go to an art school is that Art is a skill and takes practice. Having talent for it doesn't automatically make you great, it just gives you the ability to learn the skill faster. If you practice and draw alot and look at your old drawings and figure out what you like/dislike and how to improve on them then eventually you will improve. I started doing more and more artwork about 2 years ago, and while i'm still not great at drawing in general I am ten times better than when I started... practice makes perfect.

Re: help (Question)
I agree. It's all about practise. and keep your eyes open. go around and watch cars. go around'em, look which parts you can see, which not, and then draw, draw draw...

a person with ambition, persistence, and skill can outdistance a "talented" person without skill or ambition. talent does not guarantee a damn thing. conversely, skill-only is flat and dull. you need some originality of creativity with the skill to make your work stand out. so take up your pencil, boy, and start the painful journey that lies ahead of you. i can tell you, too, that it IS painful. you will hate it. and love it. --- the worst kind. |
