Hello All,
After reading all the informative advices on this forum, I am sure that some one can help me here. The heater/fan on my 85 corolla is ON all the time. It is in low mode though. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Also, though it is 5 spd, I am getting only 30 mpg. Is this normal or should I be getting more? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Heater/fan ON all the time.
Probably one of those cases of burnt-out resistors in the speed selector circuit. Search for "resistor" or "heater fan" something similar in this, the Camry forum, or another such popular forum.

Re: Heater/fan ON all the time.
is it a corolla fwd or rwd? if its a rwd, the last owner probably hooked the elec. fan up to the ignition w/o a thermo switch.

Re: Heater/fan ON all the time.
I believe he's talking about the heater/air conditioning fan, not the radiator fan.

Re: Heater/fan ON all the time.
Thanks for the replies. I am talking about the air conditioning fan. I believe my car is a fwd.
I will search for resistor circuits in other forums also and will post a reply here once I found the actual cause. |
