Air Ride/Air Suspension??

I've been looking all over for air ride for a 3000GT/Stealth, but I cannot find a single place that offers it. Does anyone know of a website or something?

Thanks in advance!

Marc

Re: Air Ride/Air Suspension??

I don't know any place that sells it. And including you, I've only heard 2 people interested in it. Air ride adds extra weight, and doesn't improve handling. Why not just get adjustable coilovers?

Well, I'm not looking for ride quality per-say... but where I live there are hella bad driveways and I'm getting a full kit installed. As we looked at it, I will scrape really bad around here... both driving and pulling into places. So with adjustable ride-height... I would be able to get into such places without trashing the kit.

Re: Air Ride/Air Suspension??

You just get the coil over replacments and fabricate mounts, I know, not easy. Buts its the only way. And Ive seen a couple 3S's with them, so its deff doable.

Theres a guy on 3si with a air suspension. His user name is Baggedvr4 I think. And honestly for the money and extra weight youd gain by putting an air suspension on the car why dont you go with Teins and add the EDFC system. Its adjustable by the push of a button and no compressor is needed.

Well, I'm not at all worried about weight... it's a show car. But what is this EDFC system? About how much would this all cost? The Teins and the EDFC (what that means, I don't know)

That should pretty much tell you what you need to know.

Re: Air Ride/Air Suspension??

No, what he wants is air ride, not teins. The teins adjust the stiffness of the ride electronicly, not the hieght. To adjust the hieght you still need to lift the car and adjust the coilovers.

Re: Re: Air Ride/Air Suspension??

You are right. For some reason I was thinking with the EDFC you could alter ride height.
