Brake Bleeding Screw

Broke both the front ones off. thats after i sprayed them down with WD40. i cant get them out and have basically mangled the stubs with the vice grips. my guess is to just get two new calipers. but i dont think i can afford that. just checked a random online store, 40 bucks a piece, then it says plus the core. 30 bucks. usually sending the core in makes it cheaper because they can recycle it. like if i got a radiator, 200 bucks, plus sending the core in, -75 bucks. im not going to pay 140 bucks for calipers. if anyone has two front calipers for a 95 corolla that they no longer need. i am very interested in them. please contact me at the email provided below.

If you can still grab them, try spraying them with penetrating oil. WD40 is not penetrating oil. Make sure you are turning them in the right direction. Try grabbing them with an easy-out.

well, i got this stuff from the local shop. i just said wd40 because i cant remember what its called. i actually got the new pads in. but right now the brakes are soft because i had to loosten the brake line screw to expand the caliper. the brakes are functional, but not full pressure. i need to find a way to bleed them. both screw heads for the bleeders are snapped off, stupid but it happened. if its the type that you can bleed any corner and get all the air out, i might be able to bleed the rear and go that route, otherwise ill have to get new calipers. but for now i dont have metal on metal. it was real bad, the gritty material from the pad was totally gone.

Buy an easy out and unscrew it using the hole. If you can insert an easy out in the hole, you can remove the plug.
