Unhappy Echeck

alrighty just bought this 96 integra ls and it has a good 140 miles on it. Everything was fine except the gas guage does not go all the way to full when I fill up, nor does it go quite to empty when it the gas light comes on. I just recently filled up with 92 octain and about 15 miles later my engine check light comes on. Can this be do to the gas and cai, fuel air mixture changing and upsetting the computer or may I have some serious problems on my hand. The engine sounds beautiful but I think I need to get my ecu fixed cause it sounds as though my cai is bypassing a lot of air when I am not pushing the throttle moderately hard. When throttle is pushed hard or barely at all there is no hissing sound from the intake. It is AEM cai and I have 2.25 catback. Sorry I know this is not a lot of info. Any help please!!!!!!

Re: Echeck

that is normal for the gas gauge to do that my does the same thing. this is going to sound dumb, but if you do not tighten the gas cap all the way the check engine light comes on. OR maybe the cap is faulty.

Re: Echeck

How do you pull the code from ecu?....do I need to take it in somewhere to have them pull it? ANd if it was the gas cap how long after I tighten it would it take for the light to go back off again?

Re: Echeck

Alrighty all is reset and I am good to go. The light has not come back on yet. And I think I had to unplug both the ecu fuse as well as the 7.5 backup fuse in order to fully reset everything. I heard some people talkin about the 10volt fuse but I swear that is for a pump or something. Thanks for all your help guys! Happy riding....
