Handbrake problems.. 88-B250

Hi all,
As mentioned I got an 1988 250. The machine runs like a dream otherwise..

But.. the handbrake (parkingbrake?) on the right side doesn't go on. Iv'e checked virtually everything, compared with the Haynes everything looks ok, but still no brakepower to the right wheel..?

The only thing I've been able to come up with is the spring to the selfadjustment on the brakes.. does anyone have a drawing or similar to show on this? or info on this one? been disassembling and reassembling that brake for two days now..
