Torsion Bar adjustment
What is the best way to accuratly set the torsion bars. Right now my truck has a good stance, but it may be sit a little too high in the front end. And if this is the case will this cause my rear end to sag easier with a load? I am running 285's on the truck if this has any bearing on adjustment. I bought the truck used and i think the torsion bars have been adjusted before.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

I made the mistake of trying to do it myself by counting the threads.
Sounded good, but didn't work out very well (for me). I had a local shop fix it for me and it is MUCH better. Not sure how they did it, but it measures the same on both sides. 285's also. |

Re: Torsion Bar adjustment
park it on a nice flat surface with the wheels straight ahead. make sure the tire pressure is equal all around. i set mine so the front is about 1 1/4" lower in the front by measuring from the ground to the base of the wheel well. after messing with the torsion bars send it to an allignment shop.
