There is a hole in my oil fill container

Hello, I have just discovered a hole im my oil fill container just right under the cap, It smokes when I just finished a decently long ride, Is this bad to have a hole in it, it looks like a screwdriver puncture. I still have good Oil press, but how bad is that???

The oil fill tube isn't under pressure, so a small hole won't affect the engine. Smoke is common, as the oil heats and burns off impurities and moisture.

Unless it is spitting out oil all over the engine, you could probably live with it. Replacement oil fill necks are available, $10-$20 bucks depending on if you want stock, chrome or polished. They just screw into the generator stand.

Or for a quick fix you can clean the area real good with carb cleaner and patch it with some JB weld.
