A new appreciation for the 3.8

I think if you ask any V6 owner what they want, its an LT1 or more likely an LS1.

Today I drove my sister's 93' Caravan home today and wow, what a POS. When you juxtapose the two, that 3.8 (or 3.4 or whatever you have) is all that is really keeping you from killing youself. Now I need a shower though... I really dont think that will get the mopar off no matter how hard I scrub

Re: A new appreciation for the 3.8

There is a big difference from the 3.8 in a caravan, if even the same engine vs a maro.

Caravan - 4500+lbs
Camaro - 3400lbs

Caravan - Towing gears for heavy loads
CAmaro - sporty gears

Caravan-gay
Camaro - pwnage

Re: A new appreciation for the 3.8

yeah, but a lot of the gay is based on the mopar and the fact its a minivan... curious though, have you ever pulled up to a redlight and there is some dad in a minivan with two kids in the back and the mom in the front and then the dad just looks over at your car and he just has this sorta "trying to hold in the depression look"... I have gotten the look twice and I loved it

This is why GM (and others) are working so hard to make their new minivans look a bit like a rough and tough SUV.......by adding longer and taller front ends.....to get that "anything but a minivan" appeal.

Yeah I saw a picture of that HHR and I wasnt really sure what it was... minivan/SUV/Something else completely different. It has that same 2.2 Ecotech engine as that Cobalt

Know your own car.

Our 3.8 = Buick engine
