Hey...
I just bought an older Grand Am and the brake pads, disc and everything we replaced. When i drive my car, however, the right brakes smoke. I put the car up on two jacks, started the car and put it in drive. The left wheel spins, but the right wheel locks up and doesnt move. I took off the tire and the plunger is pushing the brake against the brake disc and is not releasing when i let go of the brakes. The plunger stays out all the time. My other brakes are fine, but these are not. What could be the problem? Thanks, Chris |

Re: Brake problems...
Simply, a frozen caliper piston. Save the time and hassle, and just get a rebuilt caliper.

Re: Brake problems...
yea i spent hours on a stuck caliper one day, finally got it to move in and out pretty easily, and it just ended up sticking again when i put it on the car. Knifeblade 03 is right get a rebuilt caliper from autozone or advance auto or napa or something. Theyll call it a remanufactured caliper though.
