I put an aftermarket cd play in my avenger and i used the wiring kit to install it but everytime i try to play a cd i can't hear anything. The radio works fine along with all of the speakers its just when i put in a cd that it doesn't work.

Re: Re: stereo
ya i'm pretty sure all the wires are connected i hooked the stereo up in another car and it worked fine it just won't work right in the avenger. Theres a green wire that is running up in the stereo from the wiring harness in the avenger i hooked it up to negative thats the only way the stereo will come on but the cd part just won't work.

Re: stereo
i think it might have something to do with the factory amp but i'm not sure. I put my subs in and the amp stays on protection and won't turn on. I need some way to bypass the factory amp.
