Anyone know about throttle position sensors
After installing a new one do you have to take it for a final adjustment to a dealer or repair shop?

Re: Anyone know about throttle position sensors
I don't think so. I have replaced one on an Oldsmobile and it went in just one way, no adjustment. I haven't replaced the one on my 97 Lesabre, but I am pretty sure that it can't be adjusted once secured in place.

I've never checked on my two 92 Lesabres, but my 87 Olds, with the 3.8 litre V6 (ancestor to the 3800--and very similar), has a tps that is most definately adjustable. It the voltage is set wrong, it will run poorly, etc.
