Question 95 S-10 "Wierd" starting problem

If this has been covered I apologize. I searched and found nothing similiar to my problem.

Specs
95 S-10
manual tranny
2.2 l 4 cyl
AC
2wd

This problem started today with no warning. I tried to start my truck with the clutch engaged. The truck started but the starter kept running. Puzzled, I turned off the ignition. I depressed the clutch, before turning the ignition, and the engine started turning over. What could be causing this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

The only thing that I can think of is a fried ignition switch.

ignition switch...maybe

I'll try replacing the ignition switch and see if it resolves the problem.

A long story short...I should have left the repairs (at least electrical repairs) to the pros.

I ended up trading the 95 on an 02.

I still want to thank the poeple here for their help.
