Unhappy Ignition Coil - need help

I checked coil for voltage and I am getting a weak spark. Could this be a bad coil?

Did you check for spark at the coil wire since you changed the CPS sensor Dale [email protected]

Re: Ignition Coil - need help

Also check all of your fuses(especially the tiny ones) and camshaft/return pickup sensor.

Re: Ignition Coil - need help

I just had the same problem. Check the secondary resistance of the coil between any of the input terminals, and the output terminal. If it's out of range (11.5k to 13k ohms roughly) then replace it. Mine was reading 10k, and the jeep wouldn't start. These coils are weak to begin with, so even a little out of tolerance is a bad thing.

Checked coil for OHMS and got a 9 so I will replace coil next. Thanks, hope it works.

Re: Ignition Coil - need help

You should have just replaced it anyway, your Jeep is 11 years old.
