need advice

originally the durango lost power and in the odometer "nobus" appeared. Now, when parked and only the radio on it put itself into "security mode" and will not come out until 10-20 minutes later after following the proper steps. It now has lost power several times while driving and puts itself into "security mode" and I can not start it until 15+ minutes later after following the steps to release "security mode".

I've heard the only one's that can help me is a dealer. I have had terrible luck with a dealer in Alpharetta and am very leary about going to another, Can you tell me what is wrong and recommend where to take it?

Thanks

Re: need advice

When mine had that problem a search for "no bus" on af resulted in changing out the PCM "primary control module." Your "D" is most likely out of powertrain warranty, but you can order the stock PCM for around $600. Better yet get the Mopar Performance PCM for around $350. Either way you can install it yourself, but will have to have the VIN flashed onto the chip and some defualt codes entered. Dealer will charge $50-90.
