Install Airconditioner

well the summer months are coming up and just like last summer I don't have airconditioner in my car (the person who bought it didn't need one I guess?) and it's about to get to the 90's and 100's soon and instead of suffer like last year I was wondering what it would take to install all the equpiment for an aircondtioner...compressor, evap, brackets, coolant lines. How difficult and what kind of price tag if I was do to it myself (maybe junk yard parts?).

Re: Install Airconditioner

your gonna need a condesor, a accumulator, ac high and low side lines, evaporator and you have to pull the dash and some other shit out to get to it, condensor, belt, if you get stock you will have to use r12 refrigerent unless you retro fit it to r134. r12 costs a good bit more than r134 since its more rare as it gets outdated. you can get it used but theres a good chance some of the stuff might leak.
