Engine dying when put in gear
Looking for some help, I have a 1987 Sub 350, 4x4. When I go in to Drive or Reverse, and sometimes when stop, the engine just dies. Runs fine when moving down the road. Have checked replaced the Fuel Filter, Air filter, Vacum Leaks, Ect. Any ideas

Re: Engine dying when put in gear
sounds like the idle air motor isn't working or the passages in the tbi are plugged up.

Re: Engine dying when put in gear
i could explain it but you'd be better off to buy a haynes or chilton from any auto parts store for about $15. then you will have all kinds of information and good tips on how to fix your ride.
