Question info about trucks

Does anybody know a site where they rate trucks. I'm working on a trailer (the car trailer from revell) with six cars on it. Together with the truck that will make 8 models in 1 display.. nice tought right..??? But i can't find a decent info about those trucks. I once made a truck from Italeri and it was dreadfull.. anyone can direct me to some better models?

thx

Re: info about trucks

What Italeri kit was that ?
I have built some Scania trucks from italeri and I find them pretty good.

Check this site
http://www.truckmodelkits.sk/
He has built a lot of different kits and also reviewed them.

Re: info about trucks

i've built like 10 italeri truck kits, everything for scanias to mercedes actrosses, i've never experienced any probs, but revell germany.....they are no rival to italeri quality, just search google for "car transporters" and similar things, i used to do loads of detailing for my trucks but i made it up and didn't use refrence, LOOK !

the great thing about these trucks is that you can put so much detail in, enjoy you model (but try an italeri sometime)

Re: info about trucks

Wel the main problem i hade with the kit (it was a western star) was that it kept felling apart. The fit and detail was well.. but after a while alle the details just fell off... i've hade this with an other italeri kit to (apache helicopter) so I tought there was something wrong with the plastic. i used revell gleu with the needle aplicator.

Re: info about trucks

It might be the glue, but the surface might not have been properly cleaned: Did you scrape off the paint or chrome where the glue bonds?

The Scale Auto Magazine forums have a lot of truckers that can probably help: www.scaleautomag.com

Re: info about trucks

yes, I have scraped the crome and the paint.. it's strange it happend to the helicopter to... no chrome and I painted most after the assembly....perhaps my glue was to old... can't think off anything else... and i haven't washed my plastic spreu's.. but then again, I never did it with my planes (yes a mistake, but I was young;-) and never hade problems with this.. anly the italeri kits....

but anyway.. thanks for the replies already.. they helped me alot already
