brake prices

Hey whats up all
I need to get new brakes, and i was just wondering if you guys knew what kind of price range i should expect to pay. also should i go thru the dealer or some local shop? i always thought the dealer would do a better job on anything, but it probably costs more... i think. so if anyone knows anything more than i do...

Re: brake prices

Actually, I needed just front brakes- everything. Turns out one of my rotors was cracked! The guy showed it to me and it looked like it was about to fall in 2 pieces, it was cracked right down the middle! So anyway got new brakes and rotors and all that goes with it, just the front ones for 200$. Not bad in my opinion.....
