Cavalier pouring oil??
I have an 87 cavalier with the 2.0 in it, when the car is runnin it pours oil out between the block ad tranny from someplace, i have just put a new oil sending unit on it and it still does it so now i am stumped, anyone had this problem??

Agreed. Could be a chunk of gasket blown out; or worse, the oilpan could have a bent edge, leaving the gasket intact; but not seated right. Does the oil escape while idling in park before moving; or after braking/accelerating? If latter, the oil is sloshing to the breach and indicates a serious breach in the pan gasket. Check the oil drain plug btw. Make sure it's correctly installed with a good (new) washer/seal. Tookie |
