Red face Cutlass supreme battery change!!

Just bought a real deal, 96 Cutlass Supreme with only 4000 miles ( yes its real!!!! a NEW car ). Car has been stored for several years, and my exitment faded very quick!!!
First thing, to start working, was change the battery, but OOOPPPSS
maybe a cook designed this car!!, cant belive all that has to be removed for this simple task.
Is there any easy step to do so???
Would appreciate any help, since nearest Dealer is over 60 miles away!!! will end spending more on battery replacement than what I paid for the car.

Re: Cutlass supreme battery change!!

My son has a 95 Cutlass Supreme, I would think it's about the same, all you have to remove is the strut and the windshield washer bottle and then there's the hold down clamp and that should do it. It's not too bad really.

He's talking about the fender brace, not the suspension strut. It is a little tricky to remove the battery hold down clamp. Better if you take out the air filter housing.

Damn, what did you get this jewel for? Do you want to sell her? Details?
