I have an 01 SH and I just wanted to know if the base model is at much of a disadvantage when it comes to handeling. I never drove a base before but I know that the SH handels like a dream

Re: atts

I don't know how much better an SH handles - but my 4th gen is one of the best handling cars I've driven (only better handling car I've driven was my CRX). I think you'd have to be an extremely good driver in order to be able to make an SH outrun a non-SH Lude.

ATTS Automatic Torque Transfer System gives the SH a cornering advantage because the vehicle will not understeer (never remember if it's under or oversteer) in sharp corvers. Otherwise I think they're identical in straight line performance

Re: atts

On a track the SH would win b/c like stated above the Automatic Torque Transfer System transfers torque to the inside wheel while going around curves helping it take the turn quicker. Straight line the non sh has the advantage just b/c of the added weight of the ATTS. Not by much tho. In the world of perfect drivers....on a drag stripe SH would lose and on a track SH would win

Actually, ATTS sends torque to the OUTSIDE wheel.
