the heater 02 sensor is one of the wires that goes to the 02 sensor. the 02 sensor has 4 wires comming from it check out the heater wire see if its cut or something inspect it all the way from the 02 sensor to the connector if its cut there just hook it up if its not there then keep checking it all the way after the connector.

Re: does anybody know where this sensor goes

Also sounds like you coolant temp sensor is shot. Do you have access to a logger? Keep in mind that just because your coolant gauge is working doesn't mean that everything is OK. There are 2 coolant temp sensors. One "feeds" the gauge and one feeds the ECU. The one feeding the ECU may be shot. Normally when they die, the ECU sees a coolant temp of -40 degrees (I think).

All of the above is balls on.

Sensor 2 bank one is the rear O2 sensor, after the cat. They fail eventually, I would just replace it.

I've had no coolant temp sensor (broke the wires off) and didnt get that DTC, but that sure is what it sounds like. The ECU wont go into closed loop control of AFR until it thinks the motor is warmed up. If it never sees the warmed up temps, it may time out eventually. I would replace that sensor and/or check the wiring. Its on the thermostat housing/water neck, the one with 2 wires. I believe it is the one right next to the upper radiator hose, but my car is so far from stock its hard to be sure thats where it is on your car.

But there are 2 things that the computer was reading and that are wrong with my car unless the 02 sensor is causing trouble with the coolant temp. #1 is the 02 sensor malfunction and #2 is the loop fuel coolant temp. what you were saying, did u meant all that was one thing.

2 seperate sensors. One on the exhaust after the car, and the other by the upper radiator hose.

Yes. Both unrelated to each other.

Re: does anybody know where this sensor goes

If your coolant is up to temp, and the ECU thinks its not, it would have to be the sensor or the wiring. I'm almost positive thats what that fuel trim code is telling you, but I reserve the right to be wrong. If you want more certainty, take it to a dealer.
