Pen and Ink= very tedious work

GRRR i'm so frustrated with this project i'm working on for a drawing class. For this project we had to find interesting boxes and unfold them and use them as a layout for pen and ink sketches of fruit and veggies. So anyway doesn't sound bad, got the box designs down (found a pretty cool motorcraft oil filter box). Took some pics of fruit and veggies and started sketching them out etc. Well anyway this thing was due last wednsday. Busted my ass the whole week before it was due and was barely a quarter of the way done. Got to class on wednsday and nobody else had it done either so she extended it tiill friday. Well I stayed up all night thursday working on it (missed an awesome party) and still didn't get it done. Now its tuesday night, I skipped class yesterday to continue working on it at home because I still wasn't done. Anyway long story short its 9 at night tuesday night almost a week late and i'm still only about half done with the friggen thing.


It's not like I haven't been working on it either. I have been sitting here since 2:00 inking away and only got two little squares done. this sucks.
I just want this damn project to be done!!!!!!!!!

just for reference this is what I got so far... and i'm sooo sick of working on it. The paper is 24"x18" and what you see takes up maybe about 2/3 of it, so I still have 1/3 to finish.

I have no idea what your assignment is, nor do I have any idea what is in that pic. But it sounds like you just need to work faster. Don't concentrate on details as much early on, but rather get the bigger shapes, and fill in the details as you get farther along.

man, long assignments are shit.

I had a 5000 word essay due 5 weeks after I got it, I spent the first 3 weeks researching, the last 2 writing it, hard work, 19 pages long man (double spaced), but consider your self lucky, at uni you hand anything in by 1 day late, you get 10% wiped off automatically, 2 days, 20%, 3 days, 30%, after 3 days you get a max mark of 67%, any longer than 7 days you get an instant fail.

Yeah here it pretty much goes by teacher discretion(sp?) and I happen to be excellant at BSing my teachers when i need to.
