Angry Automatic transmission problem

My transmission stay always in 3 and never shiftdown.

From the TCM (Transmission Control Module), i have check all the resistance of each valve in valve body; after repair and electrical problem with the harnes all the resistance value was ok and all voltage at the differents positions of shifter was ok.
I have change the oil and filter. The pan was clean and the magnet was clean for 220 000 km.

When the transmission is defect, does the tramission come in safe mode and the only tool to reset the TCM is the VAG 1551 ?

Your opinion would be appreciate.

Re: Automatic transmission problem

It sounds like it's in fail safe mode, you need a VW or VAG-COM to access the TCM. I've heard of problems with the sport/enonomy button on the shifter as a common issue.
