nice van just dies!

my 1996 plymouth grand voyager just stalled without warning and now it won't start.the battery went dead also.mechanics at the shop spent 1 plus days trying to get it started but no luck even though they replaced the pick up and the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors.this was a nice riding van with only 143,000 miles in it...it rode like a new vehicle up to the last second it was running but now it seems it has turned on me and has become a drain on my wallet.any comments??

Not enough info here to really help troubleshoot, but I am hoping your mechanics went through the basics before going to the sensors. After checking the simple stuff such as tune-up items, fuses, and battery, I think I would have checked the alternator. Hard to tell without more information.
