Best 6th gen engine

Hey I want to buy a 6th gen 2 door accord. my goal is to be throwing around 200 whp. What would be the best model to buy? I like the v6 but ive heard the tranny has a lot of problems with it and it only comes in auto. Of the 2.3L 4 cylinders which would be more reliable/easier to get to 200 horsepower? the dx with 135 hp stock, or the VTEC with 150hp? Im cool with turbo but i dont want to get into building the internals, which engine can handle more boost? and do you think i could break into high 14s with 200whp? thanks guys

Buy the 4cyl VTEC (F23A4). Then swap in a H22a and boose that engine. That'll give you at least 200WHP

ya H22A is very nice but thats more than i budgeted to spend on my car... I dont want to do a swap, so basicallycan these engines handle boost well? and which one would handle more boost better?

Well, the H22 would handle force induction better than an F23 because of the higher compression. More than likely, that's the only way I can think of if you want 200WHP. Remember, 200WHP is about 220-240hp at the crank. For an F23 to accomplish that, you can do some internal work and then boost that motor. But it makes more since to do a swap if you're looking for the amount of power.
Remember the H22 stocks 200hp at the crank which will average out to about 175-185 to the wheels. If you're trying to get 200whp out of a F23 with bolt ons, don't waste your time. It won't happen

I believe you can. You'll need the tranny from an 02-03 CL-S. It comes with a 6-speed manual. It WILL be pretty expensive though

Should cost less than an engine...and less pain to swap...

I think it's much easier to swap in a H22 into a 4cyl Accord than swaping in a V6 motor and tranny. I believe the motor and tranny mounts are in different locations for a V6 swap when compared to the mounts being in the same location for a H22 swap

I think he means only swapping in the tranny with the accord v6 engine thats already in it... Around how much would that cost, because that would actually be perfect for what i want.

Well, if he gets a V6 that is possible. But I thought he was talking about getting the 2.3L 4 banger accordingto his first post.

So how much do you think it would cost to convert an automatic v6 to a 6 speed manual then?

She(I) thought that way...
But I believed that the guy opened the topic does not own that car yet, that's why he/she is asking if he/she should get a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder to begin with...
