Chest

I workout everyday and i have my own small gym in my house, i take protein and creatine, the problem is everythings getting big other than my stomach and chest. I have these big arms yet thin stomach. Is the a good exercise just for the chest. I have been trying bench but its just making my shoulders larger.

Re: Chest

Flyes work wonders. Try some incline and decline flyes too depending on if you want to work your upper or lower chest respectively. Also try just doing a one arm fly as it is easier to work the chest more directly just doing one arm at a time.

My favorite chest exercise is a pullover, it can be done with a dumbell or a barbell. Lie on your back on a bench, take the weight in both hands and hold it right above your head with your arms extended vertically, then lower it behind your head then pull it back up to the starting position, try to keep your arms straight....oh it hurts so good!

Re: Chest

also i dont know the name of this one, but lay on your back, take 2 dumbells, start with the dumbells at your shoulders and push them up and together. That one works really well to work out the chest.

Re: Chest

Don't do decline presses unless you want to get a breast reduction later in life

Re: Chest

Bench should be #1 on the list. Do flat, incline and/or decline for each workout. Your shoulders will get bigger, but get somebody to watch your form to make sure you're doignt hem properly. Bring it right down to your chest and extend all the way back up.

My chest workouts are usually at least 2 types of bench, then flyes (either dumbell or cable) and then some pullovers or dips, vary it up every now and then but go with bench, it's the king of chest exercises.

Brad pitt is supposed to be what most guys want to look like anyway, and I bet he never does decline presses. they are pointless unless you are a bodybuilder or something

So what's the reason for not doing decline presses? They make your chest too big? Sorry I'm lost on this one.

Re: Chest

Yeah, some bodybuilders have found that increasing the muscle volume in your lower chest too much will cause you to get what looks like breasts when fat sets in later in life.
