No dipstick

Since a month ago, I broke a piece of the dipstick where the stick is inserted and never could put the dipstick back inside where it belongs. I wanted to know is there a way I can take the dipstick line apart. Also, since their isn't any dipstick inside is harming the engine.

I change my oil ever 2 months

I'm almost positive you could drag it down through the oil reservoir if you were to drop the oil pan and dismantle the dipstick hardware.

Re: No dipstick

Isn't that going to be very hard because you have to drop the oil pan and it is located right beside the frame of the car.

Re: No dipstick

Did the dipstick drop down inside the tube? You should beable to just pull out the dipstick tube then remove it.

yes, i could not dream of dropping my oil pan for the horrible labor it would take, and i dont like getting dirty... I dont think its right net to the frame, but you do need to get some of those ramps to raise your car high enough.

if you try to pull it straight down you will prolly get it jammed on the little metal thing that pushes the oil against it, so take it off first.
