chevy smallblock camshaft replacement

hi
i am replacing the camshaft in my 350 because it is making lifter noise. i have never replaced a cam before and i am looking for a good step by step book to help me do it. does anyone know of anything like this?

Why are you replacing the cam? I'm assuming lifters are hydraulic. Why not look up the specs and adjust them.

Not a job to take lightly. Cam cover seats in oil pan, have to pull it down and leaks are hard to avoid. Cam generally has to go through AC condensor, whole different job there too. Valve covers, distributor, intake manifold, water pump, radiator, just a few items to think about. As above, I'd try a lifter adjustment first, sometimes the readjustment will make a difference, or you'll see a bad rocker or push rod while doing it.
