got caught drifting...

So it was like 10:30 and i was heading home from my girls house and the roads where a bit damp, but not too bad, so I decide to get some practice in.
I headed over to my school that has 4 huge parking lots with no light poles. All the lots empty (as they should be @ 10:30 on a thursday during spring break) and I started to get some good practice in. I was really having fun and i seemed to get my feint down good. So then I went over to another lot that has two light poles that are in line with each other about 100ft or so apart. I was having fun there too and was able to do a constant figure 8 around them using the side brake. So after a good 30min I decided to take a break and read the april option2 I had bought earlier that day. i pulled into a parking spot, popped the hood to lte her cool down some and just chilled for about 20 min or so.
After reading the option2 i wanted to drift even more so I went at it again, this time I was practicing my 90 and 180 turns with the side brake. Did that for a about 30min or so and I must have been having so much fun that I didnt notice the school's rent-a-cop chevy blazer drive up. He turned his lights on and I stopped right away, I almost ran (I could have busted a side turn onto the frontage road that goes around the untire school and gotten away no problem.
So he comes up and gives me the ussual, "what the hell are you doing out here @ 11:30?" And I just reply, practicing and having some fun, thats all.
Then he goes on to start to insult me callling me idot about 30times, I refrain from talking back somehow. He then takes my licence and insurance card and sits in his car for 15min jerkin off, i dunno what the hell he was doin with it, he's in a blazer with 2 big red flashin lights on it, not a cop car were he can run my license. So he comes back and asked me if I had been drinking and ask to search my car, I go along with it, i have nothing to hide. He didnt even search it, he looked in with his flashlight (this dude was fat, I doubt he could have even fit into my miata). So then (20min after he first pulled me over) he starts to give me a damn lecture about how stupid I am and how I am reckless driving and how he doesnt car if I kill myself but do it on the steet and there will be one less idiot on the streets. I let him finish and I began my "lecture". First i pointed out that I dont do this on the street, I do this at 11 pm in deserted parking lots so that I dont endanger other people, and so that if I mess up, its only gonna me my car that gets messed up. I doubt I gonna get killed doing this, the fastest I had been going was 25-30mph. I have insurance so if I ruin one of your trees or stop signs it will get paid for. i realize that what i am doing is not legal and thats all you care about, but understand that i have the presence of ind not to do this when school is in session and there are cars in the lot and people walking to them. I continue "look my car is my hobby and I was just having some fun with it". Then i say (and this is the killer) "you have to have had some fun sometime in your life, be it having some fun with your car or whatever, I'm sure you have broken the law in the past just to have a bit of fun". After I finshed he didnt have to much else to say, and he just told me to go home and that he would report me to the school or call my parents (ohhh noo!!). I drove out of the lot and he watched me the whole way out, it must have pissed him off that when I made the right out of the lot, I pulled a wicked overpower drift. Stupid rent-a-cops

Damn that sucks man. I see cops breaking the law all the time. Whether it is speeding or tailgating, they think they can get away with everything.

NismoDrifts, what happened?

my car crew is looking for places to start drifting, i havent seen a parking lot without poles or cars in it, there are some really nice streets but theres alot of parked cars lined up and there in residential zones,

there is one place, its in the city under the harbour bridge(that giant coat hanger to all you americans :P), its a long strip, it could easily fit room to line up 4 cars and alot of onlookers, the only problem is its near a cop station, and its more for dragging not drifting.

We use a super-secret post communist airport that is never used now... it's really kinda hard to find it , if you don't know where it is you won't accidentally come to it... i don't know who owns that thing now , but why should i care , it's fun , around 30 M Wide and long as hell... i can easilly take my porsche to around 265 km/h on it and brake with out stress... i could have gone more but i don't want to run out of runway ....

I'll drive to germany just to do it... i live around 350 Km from the boarder and then around 70 km to the first unrestricted autobahn...
You know what my friend told me once... he doesn't know german at all , and he asked me where a city called "Ausfarht" is , because it's really big , there are signs leading to it everywhere in Germany... honestly... i couldn't stop laughing at first...

My story....

Me and my friends grew up in a realativley affluent neighborhood(not to brag pr ne thing, just setting the scene), and although I only know have found places to drift(and havent been cuaghht ), we have been cought making wangan style high speed runs. My house is a few blocks east of a mian street in my city(Bathurst street of all you Torontonians) and near the house I grew up in was a flat long stretch of land. This is also my first drift.

This was around 1990 maybe and me and my friends were not really import/ricers but we would modify our cars with what little parts we had. I had a 1988 FC RX7 Turbo(which is why I like Ryosuke) and I had saved for a car since I was 13. My friends who had substansially more $ than me had newer cars like an S13 and a Saab 900 turbo. SO we went to this bridge that ran over a ravine to take a couple high speed runs, over the bridge and race each other. So we get out, and take a few passes, and turn around and run back. Were having a blast when we see a P.O.S Chevy with blue lights come at us. Turns out he was from a private security firm hired by the owners of a house. We thoght they were cops so we all ran. Little did we no our esteemed friend with a Saab, had blown a head gasket(we didnt know at the time). So my friend takes off in his S13, followed by the JZA70 supra. I drive off and I see my friend in his Saab behind me looking under the hood which was billowing smoke and had a bright red turbo. I being the gallant one pull the handbrake to execute a beautiful power-over style 180 and turn around. By now the rent a cop is on my friends tail, leaving me to pick up my friend and drive him home.

So the next day I woke up at 4 a.m. and met him at the brifge as we arranged the pervious night, and rolled the car in neutral half a kilometer to his house. To this day my friends refuse to drive over 100km/h on that bridge.
