Rear Brakes

A few months ago, we had the rear drums replaced on the '94 Eighty Eight Royale, and they replaced the rear brake cylinders as well. We got the car back, and now the rear brakes seem to lock up severely before the 8mph ABS computer check, they grind and sqeak quite a bit before said check, and the parking brake is extremely weak now (the pedal used to be very stiff as it should be, now it's slack, doesn't spring back when released, and the brake itself won't hold the car against any accelerator application at all, which it used to). Can you guys tell me a little about adjusting the parking brake so it will at least stay parked until we can have the rear brakes professionally adjusted/redone? By the way, don't take your car to Appalachian Tire Company. They really aren't helpful and seem very sloppy and uncaring in their service.

Re: Rear Brakes

Hello.I would suggest buying a Haynes,or Chiltons manual. Or I would take the car back where you had it repaired,And demand satisfaction. You paied good money to have your car repaired,They should have done the job right the first time!! Drive the car there,Set the park brake,And if it rolls thru there front door,You proved your point! Have a good day..Diesel 1962
