If you have a GSX Eclipse or TSi Talon please check this out.

Whats good. I did some thinking and i want to sell my CRX and my Rodeo and buy a GSX Eclipse. I bought my Rodeo b/c i couldnt drive my CRX in the snow or any bad rain b/c it wouldnt handle for shit. I just wana know how your cars do in the snow. I want AWD turbo but in order to do so i need to sell my CRX and Rodeo. I just wana know if it is even worth it to sell a 4WD SUV to buy a AWD car. It seems to me that they would be ok in the weather.

When i buy one (hoping they do good in the snow) i plan on buying the GReddy evo exhaust, boost control, turbo timer and BOV the same month. So i might get it upto 250+ hp. would i still do good in the snow?!?!

Thanx.

Re: If you have a GSX Eclipse or TSi Talon please check this out.

lol....Well I would say sell it....My buddy has a 92 awd dsm and its fucking awesome in the winter. As for the 250+hp i doubt you will get OVER 250 hp with those mods alone. One thing you will learn when you get your dsm is that we dsmers are cheap asses and you will see more of it when we give you advice on what mods to get. For example, the greddy evo exhaust $550....our tight asses will get a a custom $250 exhaust.

You also dont really need a turbo timer on the t25 because that turbo sucks anyway. And i would just get an ebay bc off ebay for $20, and 1g bov from ebay $25 or new $80.

Bottom line is...when you get your dsm, spend your money wisely.

Yeah, my TSi is FWD, but I have driven a coupld AWD's and they are awesome in snow. But keep in mind that this car is tiny inside, not like the rodeo. If you mod your DSM, it will be easy to get power out of them for less money than most other cars as well.

Hope to see you in the family soon!

Get an awd. Just by having an all wheel drive 4cylinder car you will take any car off the line. Id say it is worth selling both of the vehicles you have.

As for rain they handle great in the the rain. It drives about the same as on dry road I really don't notice it unless its raining so hard that it will make a river on the road... They are great cars

i must be the only one in here who will not drive their gsx in the snow. fuck that. i tryed maybe 3-4 times. its squirly as all hell, that was with snow studs on. when i hit boost at 3000, i went from going 20mph and strait to 15mph and sideways. i'll be driving my 97 FWD elantra in the snow. thanks.

they are a little better in the snow then the rodeo's. i've driven plenty of rodeo's in the snow.

During this winter I was very thankful for having a Tsi. You wouldn't think that they would be ok in the snow but the thing barely moves in the snow, the only downfall is you might be able to plow to the same height snow as you would with an SUV. other then that being buried in foot and half of snow was no problem for mine so I wouldn't worry too much.

I was confident when the snow first came out, then I slipped ten feet on ice turning left in an intersection. Stopped two feet from a car. Now my car is getting purdy and I don't want to drive it in the snow next year for that reason. AWD helps, it's not the end-all be-all though.

I would sell the Rodeo and Crx if I was in your position.

Re: If you have a GSX Eclipse or TSi Talon please check this out.

I would laugh if I was there and he farted......

I don't have a gsx or TSi to drive just yet but...
Anyways.. I had a FWD and with decent tires for all year use and it handled great in the snow..for FWD...summer tires=no bueno!! When in the rain it cut right through any standing water and never had any feelings of hydroplaneing-(sp?) with either set of tires. I lost mine to an accident and got right back on my feet to get another!!! I love these cars!!!! and the wife is jealous.....................

Re: If you have a GSX Eclipse or TSi Talon please check this out.

well dam ppl. good lookin out. theres some funny shit in here. lol. im sorry about your door handle 97 3clipse. lol. i thought they would do good in the snow but i just want to make sure everything is gravey.

as far as the money....im not braggin in anyway imaginable but im not one for cheap stuff. i dont have a lot of money but i like to save to get the good stuff. i have got burt b4 by buyin cheap stuff. its just my opinion. this summer ill be making around $500-600 a week so im not that worried about buying the EVO2.

you guys (females sorry ladies) dont think that with boost controll i can get 250 outa it??? i mean you get 7-10 hp per pound so thats only 4 psi i gota crank it up. i duno tho. ill take your word.

would it even be sensable to buy just a turbo for the car and not the whole kit? would a garrett t25 fit in?!?!

im all about gettin a GSX i put my rodeo on the market today and i think i might have someone to buy my car. im gettin antsy (sp)

oh and lol about the rodeo havin more room then the eclipse. my CRX is tiny inside.

good lookin out ppl.
