I love hearing about people making the best out of their american engines. I wouldn't mind being "stuck" with a ka24de if it was a det. Actually I'd rather have one then an sr20det because of their uniqueness sp?. Go USDM! Now you see tuners japanese and american alike using engines intended for an american market. For example the nissan titan's VQ54DE is used in some "tuners" passenger cars.

Lol I had that all f'ed up. I meant the VK56DE, but still not the old one from the infiniti like your thinking. I'll have to find the link but some tuner swapped in a twin turbo VK56de into a G35 "skyline". It was in a tuner magazine. I also know of a 240 with a twin turbo version of the same engine. Give me a sec and I'll find em.

Nope I'm owned. Closer as it is a VK but it's the 4.5 liter. This is from another forum http://www.alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewto...a153d48e76d702

Yep, the VH45DE with VK45DE heads or the VK45DE are being used in a few Z cars now and a easy swap and lighter by 100lbs than the VG30DETT engine and has 40 more HP and still N/A. There's also 2 other versions of this engine that are 3.5L V8's.
Most of the guys swaping are turbo or supercharging them and making mega amounts of HP an Torque.
Anyone wanting a complete car or just the engine, PM me.
