Question Best 89 celica color?

Just like the title says. What do you think woudl be the best color for an 89 Celica GT. Currently its Super Red II. I like red, but i always wanted a black car- esp since i drive fast and have the chrome and the exhaust, ya know. I don't want to go crazy, with the new paint job, like i don't want to go get a 10-layer color shifting jobs, though i could have that done by the end of summer, but something nice and reasonable and with a sample. Like, i like black and Titamuim Pearl (my friend wasn't kidding, it IS a nice color)

I personally would like something dark, but you guys share your color opinions and maybe i'll see a color i like and will change my mind.

Re: Best 89 celica color?

I am trying to think of a color for my 91 celica. I was thinking of a light metalic gray or platinum. BMW or Acura silver.

Re: Best 89 celica color?

yeah..love black, but my friends are concerned it will be a suana in the summer time. I have a sunroof, but i appreciate their concerns since i like carpooling because i get gas money ;-). i'll end up doing it black though unless i get a better color...

Re: Best 89 celica color?

the outside color black dosent change the heat of the inside of your car, even if it did it would be insignifigant, its your interior color that makes it hott

You sure about that? My family car used to be a 1993 chevy suburban. Dark blue on the outside, very light grey cloth on the inside...It got hot as hell in the summer, My dad also had a green camry, with tan cloth. It got really hot too. Then he got a white supra, with ethier dark grey or black interioir, and it wasn't hot at all. I thaught exterior color was the killer...

Re: Best 89 celica color?

THAT'S WHAT I TOLD HIM!!! but he's the car guy, not me. I don't know the dynamics of the black car as for some WEIRD reason i've don't remember being in one in the summer that didn't have the AC on at full... I'm still loving black though

Black with a red tinted clearcoat, had that on my old car, looked great in the sun, it had a cool red glow to it.

I`m afraid not, it was nice though, but it was a Honda Civic, if I posted a picture of that here, I`d never be able to show my face again. It wasnt a strong effect, only noticeble in the sun but wow did it look good.

Re: Best 89 celica color?

yea u can see the mustang in my sig right next to my babey, the stang is fun to get sideways in but it handles like shit... and its slow, its only a 200 ci one, so yea...but i like it anyway its my "cruise around" vehicle, and actually it gets about 20 mph in it, about the same as my celica after the ecu tuning, but the bronco only gts about 9 mph haha but it has 2 25 gallon fuel tanks so i can go anywehre i want
