2000 Power Window problems

My passenger window will not go up/down, when i hit the window button i hear a clicking from the door module box. Is there a way to test if it is the module or the motor itself is bad. Oh by the way the passenger rear window is now inoperable also.

Thx
Cliff

Re: 2000 Power Window problems

More than likely your regulator cable snapped or broke since you can hear the motor moving.

I Have a 2000 Bonneville SE, and it started out that my rear drivers door would not lock with the power on the door, OR the remote.. So after a week, I decided to pull it in the shop and take a look, and noticed that now the only lock/window/mirror that worked, is the drivers door.. So to recap, I ONLY have power mirror/lock and window on my drivers door, no where else... I also here the clicking of the relay under my back seat in the fuse panel... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated..!

This just happened to our 2000 bonneville. I got the door panel off. Can you give advice how to replace/repair the regulator cable? A diagram would be helpful as well.
TIA - Don

Cliff, the fact that you hear the clicking is good, that means you have serial comms. I'm assuming the window does not operate from the drivers door or the passenger door, correct? The problem points in the direction of a bad drive motor. The clicking that you hear is power & ground being applied to the motor via the passenger door control module.
