what can i use to remove the window cranks.

i need to take my door panels off and i know that there is a pin or something that holds the cranks on but i don't know how to take them off.

by the way its a 96. and the reason i need to take the panel off is because my left side speakers keep cutting out(only the right side plays sometimes).

Try using 2 flat head screw drivers. Thats what i do. There is a clip behind the crank. you gotta to push back on the door panel to see it. It is a pain in the ass, but there is a tool just for that dont know what it is called though. just use the to screw drivers to pull the clip apart and itll come off. might take a couple tries.

just got to a local auto store and tell them you need a GM window crank removing tool. it is like $5 and it will save you a lot of time playing around with screw drives and rags.

shit dude...you dont even have to buy any special tools...i used a rag to pull it off..just slip the rag inbetween the crank and the door and wiggle it towards the center of the crank to pull the little clip off....used to work in a shop...got the idea from a tech...it works i did it to change my speakers to put the component set in lol
