Major problem with 97 Sable (power surges & kills)

Hope that someone can help me with the problem that I am having with my 97 sable. I installed an after market CD changer in the car last summer (with an FM modulator), I am getting all kinds of noise on the radio now when I listen to the CD player...(every time I accelerate, I can hear the RPMS through the stereo)...all of the grounds were checked and they are good.

Now for the past 2 weeks I have had a problem with the car killing at strange times...the first time that I noticed that there was a problem was when I was driving and the power seemed to surge in the car and the CD player powered off and then back on. This problem does not only happen with the CD player on, the car surges and kills without the CD player on also. Has anyone else had this problem? Would a bad alternator cause my car to power surge like that?
