windsheild prob...

I need some help from you guys. I have 98 accord and I have had to replace the winsheild twide because of cracks inflicted by gravel flying out from dirt trucks. I began to hear a rattling noise from the passenger side of the winsheild. It sounded as if it was coming from the defroster vent at the base of the windsheild. But, whenever I would turn the heater on, the noise would dissappear. So when the winsheild was replaced the second time, I made sure that I told the guy about the noise and he did a very good job installing the new windsheild, but the noise just got worse. So today, I just stuck a piece of foam between the dashboard and the windsheild but I don't want it there permanently.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? I would really appreciate some help. Thanks.
