Blinker Trouble, please help!

I have 94 olds cutlass cieraand I'm having trouble with my blinkers. My left blinker was stuck in the on position and I found out that the left front bulb was out so I replaced it. No problem so far. This worked for about a week and half and then it started acting up again. This time my left blinker will stick on (the bulb is actually working this time) or blink very intermittently (every 6 or 7 seconds). I can't figure out what is wrong. If anyone has some words of wisdom I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Did you happen to check the rear bulb?

Yep, all the lights come on. The left just won't blink.

Check the wires in the bulb socket for wear, and moisture. It sounds like you have a short someplace

replace the turn signal relay, they commonly go bad on cutlasses and GPs, its the white box under the dash and wala! problem solved!!
