Angry P0302 misfire cylinder 2 - Chevy Suburban

I have a '98 Chevy Suburban 1500 that sets a P0302 cyl 2 misfire code. I have changed the wires, plugs, rotor and cap and cleared the codes with my scan tool and the code comes back within a couple minutes of idling. The engine on this car does not have a seperate fuel injector for each cylinder (I believe that is called Port Fuel Injection), but rather it has I believe what is called TBI or Throttle Body Injectorion (2 of them) so I don't believe it is a fuel injection problem. The engine does sound a little rough. My thought is that a compression test is the next thing to try. It seems to me that the only thing it could be is something mechanical like (a stuck valve, bad head gasket, etc...) Any thoughts anyone?
