my neighbor who has a home shop had removed the injectors adn manifold to clean out the components of the egr. (code was showing egr flow low) so he cleaned out the egr and tube , replaced all gaskets, started up fine, as we test drove it the transmission shifted hard in 2 and 3rd gears, then trans fluid began lleaking from top of bell house. any ideas? mechanic is thinking trans was venting, is this possible?

Re: transmission leaking, 99 3.2lt
When was the last time you had the tranny flushed?
check the faq's for possible tranny leaks (accumulator cover) and ideas for hard shifting (dirty range selector, dirty ground points, dirty or low tranny fluid).
