Angry Mystery connector?

I have a '87 Iroc with the 5.7 TPI and I have a connector that I can't find the right place for. It is a two wire plug (pink/black and black in color). It is located around the distributor area and I have looked everywhere trying to find where it goes and I give up!

I have idling problems and I think this may be part if not all the problem. The car does hold a very good idle especially when warmed up. The service engine light code says I have a code 33 which is the MAF system. I have a new sensor on so I don't know what's next.

It flutters when I try yo mmaintain a steady speed going down the road. No matter what speed, if I try to hold 50mph then it flutters. Acceleration is grat though.

Any help would be very much appreciated!!!

Re: Mystery connector?

Do you have a Haynes manual? Sorry I don't have a 'Maro so I can't just go look and see what it plugs into. I google searched camaro distributor, didn't find anything.

Yes, I have a Haynes Manual that I am using now but I can't find that plug anywhere. Thanks for your input.

Sounds like it might be the EGR solenoid connector, it is at the back RH side of the intake.

Re: Mystery connector?

Did you replace the solenoid only? Or was there something besides that like the diaphram?
