2001 door panel removal info needed
I have a 2001 SLE that has a rear window and a driver side window that will not go up or down. Sounds like a relay clicks when you move the switch but no motor noise on the front window. The rear window has a cable laying in the bottom of it and the motor does operate. I was able to get that panel off but I am confused as to how the clips in the center of the panel are to be released. Luckily they didn't break, but I am wondering what the correct procedure is for getting them to release before I tackle the front driver side door panel. Any help with any of my problems would be greatly appreciated. Are Bonnevilles notorious for having lots of window problems? Seems like the topic comes up alot.

Yes, as you remove the interior door panels once all the fasteners (perimiter) are loose, remove panel in an upward direction to release those clips. The drive motor assemblies on these cars are notorious for failing especially the cables. Also, when re-installing the water deflectors, make sure you get a good seal. You may have to renew the butyl seal adhesive.
