Ignition problems on 96 Silverado
I just had the intake on my 5.7 Vortec resealed (110,000 M) and afterwards it started hesitate at approx. 2000 to 2200 RPM. I took it in to have the timing checked, (Supposedly all OK) but it is still doing the same thing. Then when I was coming home yesterday my ignition cut out for a fraction of a second, my clock on the stereo even reset, so the obvious thing would be a loose conection, but I haven't found one of those yet. Any suggestions?

Re: Ignition problems on 96 Silverado
I had the same problem with mine. It turned out to be totally unrelated to the intake problem. It was actually the Ignition switch. I couldn't figure it out so I took it to the dealer 260 $$$ later all fixed!

Did yours have the bogging problem as well?
I went through some of the previous posts and figured out how to add a pic of my truck. (96 Silverado 5.7 litre dual exhaust (40 series flow master ) K&N (FIPK soon) 2" drop front 4" rear. Thanks
