1988 Crown Vic Interceptor

Hello my friend just bought an 88 crown Vic police car, has the interceptor package, bigger speedometer, suspension, etc..... He claims it has a carborator, and I think it doesnt,
the reason we are wondering is, because the car will not start unless he pours gasoline down under the air filter intake, where he says the carborator is,, and the car wont stay running unless u hold the gas down,, i think its a fuel pump, he says its the carborator....


i cannot find online where it would say yes or no to having one......



can anyone tell me if it does, and is the engine the 5.0 ?

What are the First 8 digits on your Vin Number If you dont mind b/c if its the same as mine you got something great. i have a 5.8L 351 W
you could either have that or the 5.0L 302

Hey sorry for the delay,,, I didnt get to take down his Vin# but he assures it is the 351 5.8L

How does he know. tell him dont go buying parts for it and mess around and have the wrong parts. he needs a mechanic to look at it or look at the vin.
